With the announcement of Apple's latest Operating System Version, the iOS 5, came the exciting news to the owners of Apple products and those who are planning to purchase either an Apple Iphone, iPad and Ipod, which is that Apple will now offer a an app called iMessage which is built into the messages app. The app iMessage will allow users of the service to send unlimited text messages via Wi-Fi or 3G connection, yes it's as simple as that. You can use the app to send text, videos, photos, contacts and locations to other users of Apple iPhones, iPods, and Ipads, and it's absolutely free.The iMessage app features delivery receipts, read receipt to allow you to track your messages and also you will be able to see if the other user is typing, sounds familiar to some other app, maybe BBM?

So for all those who are owners of the following devices or will soon become owners of either one of the you will be able to update the device to Apple's latest OS iOS 5. The devices which will be capable of the upgrade are as follows, the iPhone 3Gs and iPhone 4, the iPod Touch 3rd and 4th Generation, and lastly the iPad and iPad 2.
So, I would ask my burning question again in a different way, will BBM be able to compete with iMessage from Apple when i's released? Please leave your comments on this topic. Will blackberry be able to compete with one of the largest markets around the world, which now includes Trinidad and Tobago courtesy bmobile?? Will this feature cause another increase in sales for Apple line of devices including right here in Trinidad??
