The Nokia N9 is truly a revolutionary phone in that it's the world’s first pure touch screen phone without any front-facing buttons at all, and you simply double-tap the screen to unlock the phone. Since there are no front-facing buttons, the phone relies on SWIPE to navigate from screens on the phone, for example whenever you are in an application, you just swipe from the edge of the screen to go back home. The phone will be running on a 1GHz Cortex A8 CPU, PowerVR SGX530 GPU, TI OMAP 3630 chipset Processor on MeeGo OS, v1.2 Harmattan.
The Nokia N9 comes with three home screens, which is designed around the things people typically use the most. They are arranged in a carousel view: 1) Applications for launching and organizing your apps, 2) Events for social networking feeds and notifications for calls, texts, calendar events, etc. 3) Open applications for switching between all live apps you have used recently.
The Nokia N9 also boasts of stunning features such as a 3.9 inches (480 x 854 pixels) AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, Dolby Mobile sound enhancement; Dolby Headphone support which turns regular stereo audio, into personal surround sound on any headphones which is a first on any mobile phone, 16/64 GB storage to choose, from which ever suits you best, 1 GB RAM for multi-tasking and running of large numbers of apps, 8 MP, 3264x2448 pixels, camera with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, and dual LED flash, it also has a front facing camera and can record videos at 720p@30fps and pre-loaded games, Angry Birds Magic (NFC), Galaxy on Fire 2, Real Golf 2011, for your entertainment.
The major downfall of the Nokia N9 is that it can play Flash videos in the video player, along with other formats such as MKV up to 720p resolution, but it cannot play Flash videos in the web browser due to fact that it lacks the Adobe Flash player plugin!!! The minor downfall of the Nokia N9, well not really a downfall if you will call it that is that this phone requires a MicroSIM, that is also needed on the Iphone 4.
