Facebook Application Now Available For Most Java Enabled Non- Smart Phones!!

        For those who don't have the latest smartphones, or just who love their ordinary phones non-smart phones, then there is good news for you guys!! I say good news, assuming that you are facebook addicts or freaks, sorry to put it so or just enjoy the experiences of the well known social network. The good news is that you can now download a facebook app that was built in cooperation with Snaptu, for your mobile phone assuming that your phone is java enabled!!
        The app is compatible with over 2,500 Java-enabled phones from Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, LG and other popular manufacturers, and gives you access to the most popular features of the social network, such as News Feed, Inbox, and Photos and it also enables you to upload photos and find friends from your phone’s contacts. The app should work on just about any platform that once it meets the criteria of it being java enable and well an internet connection!!

         Facebook said that the app provides a better experience for its most popular features, these includes an easier-to-navigate home screen, contact synchronization, and fast scrolling of photos and friend updates.

         And don't worry, facebook has considered the network charges by optimizing their new application to use less data, so your cell phone charges don't go through the roof. But the one thing that may hinder the success of the app is if people are willing to pay for the network charges on their mobile phone, on a regular basis or just prefer to use 0.facebook.com site, which is free but the only downfall is photos cannot be viewed!! This app can be downloaded from  m.facebook.com or you can also get it from app stores, including GetJar, Appia, and Mobile Weaver.

       So my burning question of the day to you guys are, Could iMessage For Apple iPhones, iPads And iPods Bring An End To BBM's Reign Supreme???
       With the announcement of Apple's latest Operating System Version, the iOS 5, came the exciting news to the owners of Apple products and those who are planning to purchase either an Apple Iphone, iPad and Ipod, which is that Apple will now offer a an app called iMessage which is built into the messages app. The app iMessage will allow users of the service to send unlimited text messages via Wi-Fi or 3G connection, yes it's as simple as that. You can use the app to send text, videos, photos, contacts and locations to other users of Apple iPhones, iPods, and Ipads, and it's absolutely free.The  iMessage app features delivery receipts, read receipt to allow you to track your messages and also you will be able to see if the other user is typing, sounds familiar to some other app, maybe BBM?

       So for all those who are owners of the following devices or will soon become owners of either one of the you will be able to update the device to Apple's latest OS iOS 5. The devices which will be capable of the upgrade are as follows, the iPhone 3Gs and iPhone 4, the iPod Touch 3rd and 4th Generation, and lastly the iPad and iPad 2.
        So, I would ask my burning question again in a different way, will BBM be able to compete with iMessage from Apple when i's released? Please leave your comments on this topic. Will this feature cause another increase in sales for Apple line of devices including right here in Trinidad??
